Our Beginnings
Under the inspiring leadership of Rev. Fr. George Danavelil, a small group of dedicated families came together to begin a beautiful journey of faith in Exton, establishing a catechism program as an extension of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Church in Philadelphia. What began with around 30 children was rooted in a shared vision: to nurture the faith of the next generation while preserving our rich Syro-Malabar traditions and heritage.
In just three years, this humble beginning has blossomed into a thriving faith community, with over 50 children and more than 10 dedicated teachers gathering for biweekly catechism sessions. Our children have grown not only in their understanding of the faith but also in their active participation in the Holy Qurbana, their appreciation of our traditions, and the friendships they have formed along the way.
Learning, Celebrating & Belonging
A major highlight each year is our Annual Day celebration. Every child participates, and the weeks of practices leading up to it give them time to work together, have fun, and build lasting bonds outside the regular routine.
A Special Milestone
Our faith formation marked an important milestone in 2025. For the first time, our mission prepared seven students for their First Holy Communion, and both the Sacrament and the Holy Qurbana were celebrated right here in Exton.
Our Curriculum & Community
We follow the standard curriculum set by the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Eparchy of Chicago, ensuring our students receive the same structured teaching and sacramental preparation as larger parishes.
The growth of our EFF program reflects the steady commitment of our parents, volunteer teachers, and families working together.
