About Our Mission

A Welcoming Spiritual Home

Established to serve the growing Syro-Malabar Catholic community in Chester County, the Exton Mission Community operates under the pastoral care of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Forane Church, Philadelphia, within the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Chicago. Our community gathers for services at Saints Philip & James in Exton.

What began with a small group of pioneering families has grown into a vibrant faith community of more than 45 families, providing a welcoming place to grow in faith, fellowship, and service.

Worship and Faith Formation

Holy Qurbana brings our families together regularly for worship, prayer, and fellowship in the traditions of the Syro-Malabar Church. Please see our Mass & Prayer Schedule for current dates and times.

Faith formation is an essential part of our mission life. Our active Early Faith Formation (EFF) program serves our children with dedicated religious education and spiritual guidance as they prepare for important sacraments, including First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Community, Culture, and Fellowship

Our connection extends well beyond our liturgical services. The Exton Mission is a close-knit community where families form lasting friendships and celebrate faith, culture, and life together. Throughout the year, our families come together for cherished occasions such as Onam, Christmas, and the annual Feast of St. Sebastian (Kazhunnu Perunnal).

Through worship, faith formation, cultural celebrations, and mutual support, the Exton Mission continues to grow as a community rooted in faith and united as one family.
